About

Set yourself up to achieve the legal career that you want.

Whether your aspirations are to become a law firm partner, government attorney, or in-house counsel, the steps you take early in your legal career will be critical to getting the legal career that you want. This is particularly important you are like the majority of law students who did NOT attend a T-14 school or not projected to graduate in the top 15% of their class. This, however, does not mean you can't reach your dream career. But it does mean that, like me, you will need to strategize and plan your way to level the playing field and learn to navigate the day-to-day difficulties of a law student or new attorney. There is not need to stress about how to do it all by yourself, because I’m here to help.

My Approach

How do we put you in a position to succeed?

it all begins with identifying your career goals. At this point you might not even know what those are; and thats okay. We are here to help.

While you will have opportunities to change focuses or interests, those opportunities become more difficult as you go along in your career.

Based on your goals, we will work one on one to formulate personalized short, medium, and long term strategies and milestones that will put you in the best position to start your legal career on its best foot.

Each session will also be opportunities to discuss networking and ways to handle difficult situations with classmates, colleagues or supervisors.

Not only will our sessions address your long term career goals, but we will discuss daily issues and strategies so that every day you are taking actionable steps towards the legal career that you want.

Edward Wong, Esq.

Legal Career Coach

I've worked as a transactional attorney since 2013. I've had experience working at law firms, governmental entities and in-house.

Unlike many of my colleagues, I did not attend a T-14 school (nor did I even begin my legal studies at a top 100 school). There is no mistake that grades and class rank will factor into your post-graduation employment, but the rest isn't all luck. We will work together to put you in the best position to succeed. We will also discuss the daily issues that can arise that can make the difference in whether you get assigned to the next big case or project. I look forward to working with you.

Education:
